Introducing Katie the Welsh Springer Spaniel!

Katie is in training to become a rodent detection dog. She is doing very well already and showing many promising traits.

She is being taught obedience, aversion to birds and stock, how to hunt and indicate on her target odour - from scat and nesting material to scent trails. She is also being familiarised with people, other dogs and loud noises from towns and vehicles.

A lot to learn in the first 12 months of life, but well on-track to become a Conservation Dog.
